Looking Forward to 2022

Posted on November 30, 2021 at 7:40 PM

Well tomorrow is December 1, 2021 and we are finding it hard to believe we are closing in on our 6th year here in Live Oak, Florida.  When my wife and I deciding to move my practice from Melbourne, Fl, where we lived for many years, to Live Oak, we thought it would be a quieter, slower paced lifestyle accomanied by an almost semi retired work schedule and nothing could be further from the truth.

As we near the close of this year, we are reflecting on our time already spent here in the beautiful Suwannee River Valley and wonder why we did not make the move sooner.  Live Oak is not as quiet and slow paced as we once thought it to be but we absolutely enjoy living and working here.  Kelly and I enjoy outdoor activities and we have embraced our large garden and farming on our property, horseback riding, canoeing, hunting fishing and camping are just a few of our favorite things.

My practice has grown by leaps and bounds so at a time when I thought I would semi retire - instead - I am lengthening my working hours yet, at the end of my work day, I am refreshed and renewed and I credit this mainly to my patients.  I am overwhelmed daily by the relationships we are building with our patients.  We talk about their health and medical concerns but we also talk about hunting, exchange recipes and often share samplings of each others baked goods.  It is not uncommon to see folks bringing in or taking out from the office fresh eggs, a recent garden harvest or handcrafted gift.  The relationships and friendships we have created and nurtured during these past 6 years are what makes me excited to see what happens in 2022 here at John Workman, DC.  We look forward to seeing all of you as well as new patients in the coming years!!  Thank you for allowing me to participate in your care.
